# MediusDesk — Queues, reception, and salon operations

> Multi-tenant software for salon walk-ins, appointments, reception checkout, and live queues. One desk from the kiosk to close of day.

MediusDesk is the operations layer between arrival and close of day. Walk-ins still get a paper ticket in too many salons. Bookings live in a calendar nobody at reception trusts. Checkout waits for someone with a manager key.

## What you run

- **Live queues** — Tickets, assignment, and status on a board the floor can read. Walk-ins and booked guests share one stream.
- **Kiosk and reception** — Guests check in at the kiosk. Reception sees the board, takes payment, and closes the visit without leaving the desk.
- **Appointments** — Online booking on a dedicated host, then check-in that lands on the same queue as walk-ins.
- **Roles and access** — RBAC on every user. Reception cannot open the ledger; a stylist cannot rewrite the roster.
- **Staff benefit and tabs** — One employee discount for the whole company, and a tab your people can settle against salary at month end, with a limit the till enforces.
- **Reports and close** — Cashier, stylist, tips, worker tabs, inventory, and a close that shows counted against expected for every tender.

## How it works

1. Claim the tenant — stand up the hostname, brand the kiosk, invite the people who run the chairs.
2. Open the doors — walk-ins take a ticket, booked guests check in, reception sees one board.
3. Close the day — checkout, rewards, and a close that balances counted against expected, without exporting the afternoon into another tool.
